President Barham Salih stressed on Tuesday, the importance of reforming the public and private sectors and developing plans to alleviate the problems of unemployment and poverty.
The presidency said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "President Barham Salih received Planning Minister Khaled Battal al-Najm at Al-Salam palace in Baghdad.”
President Salih stressed “The important role played by the Ministry of Planning in formulating the development, economic and social policies needed by all state institutions, as well as providing statistics and data, especially at the current stage, which requires reforms at various levels and sectors in order to promote the Iraqi economy," noting that "the importance of reforming the public and private sectors and developing plans to address and alleviate the problems of unemployment and poverty.”
