EU delegation confirms support for electoral process

The European Union delegation confirmed its support for the upcoming elections and working to make them succeed.

The electoral commission said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on Monday, "The head and members of the Board of Commissioners received at the Commission's headquarters in Baghdad a delegation from the monitoring team of the European Union mission in Iraq, a meeting in which a full picture of the latest preparations for the October elections, and the expected role of the international community were provided as part of monitoring and evaluating the electoral process. ".
 
The statement added that "During the joint bilateral meeting attended by all members of the Council of Commissioners with the European delegation, the council's role and efforts were introduced since it took office more than a year and a half ago," noting that that "the EU delegation confirmed its support for the elections , working to make them successful by contributing in monitoring the voting process on October 10, 2021."
