Iraq-EU Press Con: We discussed Elections and international monitoring

Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein and High Representative of European Union and Security Policy Josep Borrell stressed on Monday, the importance of developing relations in various fields and the elections.
 
"The visit of the representative of the European Union to Iraq is a first. As comes to start dialogues with the federal government," said Hussein in a press conference held on Monday, with Borrell in the headquarter of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
Hussein added that "European security is connected with Iraqi security," noting that "several files, including immigrants, were discussed,"
 
He expressed his thanks to the representative of the European Union for his support of the Baghdad Conference, stressing that the representative of the European Union will “meet the three presidencies,"
 
For his part, Borrell stressed during the conference "the strong partnerships with Iraq," explaining that "the issues of security and immigrants were discussed with the Foreign Minister,"
 
He expressed his sorrow about the “number of martyrs in the terrorist attack in Kirkuk," pointing to "the commitment of the European Union to provide support to Iraq and we aspire to continue good relations,"
