Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail confirmed today, Sunday, that the country has a major crisis in investing in gas and solar energy.
Ismail said during the press conference with the French company Total and attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Iraq has a major crisis in investing gas and solar energy," noting that "the ministry signed a set of projects with the French Total Company to invest the quantities of gas burned in Basra Governorate." In addition to developing an oil field and building other facilities.
He added, "The project is the largest infrastructure project signed by the ministry during the past twenty years, and it is the largest investment by a Western company in Iraq," noting that "the project will define the features of energy in the country for the coming years."
