he pointed out that "more than 45 companies have submitted bids to set up power stations , solar card (500 MW) per station," pointing out that "it is hoped that Iraq up to (1500 MW) as a first stage of clean energy in three projects for the three provinces of Muthanna Babylon and Diwaniyah.
He stressed that "the project to establish clean energy plants has obtained approvals," noting that "the project has reached its final stages for selecting companies and signing contracts.".
Al-Sulaiti added that "in the coming months, the contracts will be transferred to start the investment contract method," explaining that "these investments will not cost the state anything, and the companies are the ones who take over the entire project and take the dues for selling energy only.".
Iraq has begun to take serious steps to solve the electricity crisis in the country, by seeking to diversify energy sources, by implementing several projects to produce electricity from solar energy in a number of governorates.
