Major General Rasool: The Conference is the message of Baghdad to the world

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasool, confirmed today, Saturday, that Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership is a message of strength for all the nations of the world in achieving security as a result of the sacrifices of our security forces.

Rasool told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that holding Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership is essential, on several levels, the most important of which are security, political and economic, and e whatever Iraq needs, pointing out that Baghdad conference will discuss several important issues, including the partnership in combating terrorism, since the terrorism is still threatening the whole region.

He stressed that the stability of Iraq means the stability for the Middle East; therefore everyone is aware of Iraq's important leading role in the region, so we believe that this conference will have a very positive outcome.

It's to be mentioned, that the delegations of all the countries participating in the conference, in addition to France, arrived at Baghdad International Airport.

 Baghdad, will host today, Saturday, Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, with the participation of 9 countries, as well as number of international organizations.
