The Parliamentary Legal Committee counted the laws that the Parliament will be carried them over in the next legislative round.
Committee member MP Saeb Khidr explained in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that parliament will not be able, during the rest of current parliamentary round, to legislate important laws such as the Integrity, Oil and Gas Laws, noting that these laws will be carried over to the next legislative round If the elections are held on October tenth, but if the elections are postponed, some laws can be discussed.
Khidr added that there are a number of laws that have been carried over to the next parliamentary round, including the Cabinet Law, the Law of the Reconstruction Council, the law to prosecute ISIS terrorist gang members and other important laws, affirming that the Integrity Law and the Oil and Gas Law are among the important laws that were submitted to the Parliamentary Legal Committee, It could have been discussed, but it was carried over to the next parliament.
Khadr pointed out that in the event that the parliamentary elections are postponed, the Law of the Reconstruction Council, the Civil Service Law and the Law of the Council of Ministers will be discussed, stressing the importance of legislating these laws because of the state's dire need for them.
