Prime Minister: The Baghdad summit embodies Iraq's vision of establishing the best relations

    Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed that the Baghdad summit embodies Iraq's vision in establishing the best relations, while calling on the media to convey a true picture of the achievements in the country.

    Al-Kadhimi said in a speech during his meeting with Arab and foreign media delegations on the occasion of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "We welcome you to Baghdad and to Iraq , the country of cooperation and partnership, and we are preparing to hold the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership, which will start its work on Next Saturday, which is an important event not only for Iraq, but for the whole region."

    He pointed out, "There are many challenges that we suffer from in the region, and we must all cooperate and unite in solving them, and cross towards creating economic and social integration among the peoples of the region," noting that "the conference embodies Iraq's vision of the need to establish the best relations with its surroundings and with the countries of the world, and what it will produce in support of Iraq's historical role in establishing peace."

    He added, "Iraq has begun to take its historical role, to be one of the pillars of peace in the region, and it can create a bridge for communication, cooperation and comprehensive integration, with all the countries of the region."

    He continued, "Enough wars, conflicts and disputes," explaining that "the decision of war, hatred and violence is not the choice . Rather, the decision to develop and build and preserve the dignity of the citizen is the main decision, and this is what we are moving towards."

    Al-Kadhimi also said, "Iraq calls on all countries in the region to build peace on the basis of integration among the peoples of the region, and there are great opportunities in Iraq in which the countries of the region can cooperate and contribute, and create a new space for all the peoples of the region, to build peace and stability for them."

    The Prime Minister also explained, "We are heading to fateful and decisive elections in a month and a half, which will strengthen the democratic path in the country, and we have worked for about a year and two months at various levels to reform the economic, security and political tracks in the country," pointing to "success in achieving great goals, and we are still moving forward." We are committed to building an efficient, stable and sustainable state, and in all this we look forward to regional cooperation with all countries in the region.”
