The Iraqi Artists Syndicate mourned the musician Fathallah Ahmed, who died on Wednesday, at the age of 64, as a result of being infected with the Corona virus.
The Syndicate stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that with great sadness and sorrow, the Iraqi Artists Syndicate mourns the artist Fathallah Ahmed Saleh, who passed away on Wednesday evening after being infected with the Corona virus, asking God Almighty to bless him with his vast mercy and enter him into his vast gardens and inspire his family and relatives’ patience and solace. Indeed, we belong to God and to Him we shall return.
Ahmed was born in Kirkuk in July 1957 to Turkmen parents. An Iraqi composer, and a former dean of the Institute of Musical Studies in Iraq. He was the leader and distributor of the Kadhim Al-Sahir Band, the first Iraqi to establish the song's music distribution at the level of Iraq, He resided in Dubai.
