The Secretary-General of the Cabinet, Hamid Naim Al-Ghezi, confirmed today, on Wednesday, that Iraq is interested in the international community's support for the effectiveness of the upcoming elections.
"Al-Ghezi, received both the Swedish Ambassador to Iraq, Jonas Lofven, and the First Secretary for Political Affairs at the Norwegian Embassy, Ole Denstad," said the General Secretariat of the Cabinet in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Ghezi praised the depth of the mutual relations between Iraq, Sweden and Norway in the areas of economy, trade, security, and the effective contribution to the fight against terrorism through the involvement of the military effort of the governments of Stockholm and Oslo in the tasks of the international coalition, and their continued support for the upcoming Iraqi elections from During monitoring and follow-up work in coordination with the United Nations Mission in Iraq.
