The Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee confirmed, on Tuesday, that Baghdad Conference on Cooperation and Partnership will be successful in bringing together neighboring countries, while indicating that it will have a positive impact on Iraq's economy and security.
Committee member MP Amer Al-Fayez said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Iraq plays the role of the mediator by bringing the views of the different countries closer together, noting that Iraq has succeeded in bringing the views of Saudi Arabia and Iran closer together, as contacts are still continuing between the two states., Perhaps the Baghdad summit will witness a great success in this regard, stressing that the success of Baghdad summit will benefit Iraq and the region, economically and politically.
Al-Fayez added that improving relations between the opposing countries will have a positive impact on the politics, security and economy of Iraq, pointing out that political stability is the basis of economic and social stability, and it is a benefit for all.
It’s to be mentioned that Baghdad is preparing to host a conference of regional neighbors at the end of this month with the participation of a number of countries, as the specialists indicated that the conference is the beginning of solving the problems in the region.
