Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed, today, Sunday, that a general reform document will be presented, the provisions of which will be approved as basic constants for Iraq, while stressing that the elections cannot be postponed.
Al-Kadhimi said in an interview with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the legislative elections in Iraq will take place on time, and they are not subject to postponement," stressing that "a general reform document will be presented, the provisions of which will be adopted as basic constants for Iraq.".
He added, "What matters to us is to cross Iraq to safety and to regain's health, as we are in dire need of a healthy Iraq that does not dispense with its Arab and Islamic surroundings."
Regarding Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations, Al-Kadhimi stressed, "I informed Kuwaiti officials of Iraq's respect for international resolutions and existing relations, and Iraq's doors are open to Kuwaiti investors, and we are determined to support investments by enacting legislation and fighting corruption."
