The Bativa district of Dohuk governorate announced
today, Sunday, the death of two tourists in a Turkish shelling targeting areas in the governorate .
Farhad Mahmoud, the director of the sub-district of Zakho district, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "two tourists from Nineveh Governorate were martyred in Turkish artillery shelling on the village of Bandro in the district."
He added, "Batvia is one of the beautiful tourist areas, but the tourists entered a forbidden area by car and were bombed."
"The two bodies were transferred to the forensic medicine in preparation for handing them over to their families," he added.
