The planes and artillery of the Turkish army renewed, on Thursday, the bombing of several areas in the Dohuk Governorate, northern Iraq.
The director of Kani Massi district, in Dohuk governorate, Sarbast Sabri, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Turkish warplanes bombed the Amadiyah area, specifically the village of (Maghi) located below Jabal Gara, while the Turkish army also bombed Mount Kifri Sur overlooking the village of Disish that belonging to the Kani Massi district.
Sabri added, "Artillery shelling continues on the village of Disish, while the bombing by aircraft has stopped on the top of Mount Kifri Sur," stressing that "the situation is stable and calm now."
He explained, "Families are present only during the day in their areas and villages for farming, and return at night to the city center, district or district," noting that "two days ago, the outskirts of Haruri were hit by two artillery shells without losses."
He continued, "As for the outskirts of the village of Qamari, it was also hit by two artillery shells, with material damage, because it fell on a house," stressing that "last week was more severe in the area, but this week the shelling is light."
He noted that "the PKK elements are provoking and launching several shots towards the Turkish army for the purpose of informing it of their presence only. For its part, the Turkish army responds to the shootings with artillery shells or the bombing of planes on the area, and the target is the citizen, not the PKK members," stressing that "the citizen is the one who pays the tax." .
