An Act of Sabotage Target the Power Transmission Towers North of Karbala

The Ministry of Electricity announced on Thursday, targeting the power transmission towers north of Karbala province by a sabotage act.

 
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the electric power transmission lines were targeted on Wednesday, by an act of sabotage through detonating IED’s that damaged a tower for transmitting electric power in the holy province of Karbala.

 
The statement added, the terrorist attack targeted the tower no. (60) for the lines of (Musayyib - north of Karbala) and (Musayyib - east of Karbala), which led to cut the legs of tower (no. 2) without tower's fall.

The efforts were intensified and work was qualitatively completed on Thursday early morning hours, noting that the repetition of the attack on the same line, one week after the previous attack, only expresses the enemy's hatred and its clear hostility to the Iraqi people.
