The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Thursday, the operation of a flight to return 145 Iraqis from the Belarusian capital.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "a flight for Fly Baghdad Company carrying 145 Iraqi passengers has completed the necessary procedures heading to Baghdad from the Belarusian capital, Minsk."
Yesterday, Tuesday, the General Company for Iraqi Airways announced the arrival of its exceptional flight to Baghdad International Airport, which was designated to evacuate Iraqi citizens stranded in Belarus and its common border with Lithuania.
The company stated in a statement, that the flight that landed inside Baghdad International Airport evacuated about 240 Iraqi citizens, in addition to transporting the body of the deceased Iraqi Jaafar Al-Haris, who died on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border at the company's expense.
