Anbar Health Department warns of worsening COVID-19 situation

Al-Anbar's Department of Health warned of the deterioration of the health situation due to the spread of Corona virus cases, while calling on citizens to adhere the health measures to ensure safety.

The Director General of Al-Anbar Health, Dr. Khudair Khalaf Shallal, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): There is a unprecedented surge in the number of injuries and hospitalizations that did not been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic, noting that most COVID-19 wards in the hospitals were filled with severe infected cases, in need of intensive care

Shallal explained that the isolation wards in Fallujah Teaching Hospital were filled, and a number of the Covid-19 patients were transferred to Al-Shifa Hospital in Ramadi, calling on citizens to abide by the instructions issued by the Anbar Health Department, through avoid gatherings, not to hold banquets, funerals as well as parties, and to stay away from visits between families, and to adhere to social distancing, wearing masks, and get vaccinated.
