The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Naim Al-Ghazi, confirmed on Monday that al-Sadr City development project includes the construction of the infrastructure, and network of roads and bridges.
Al-Ghazi media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Ghazi confirmed, during his meeting with the committee of developing al- Sadr City, that the Iraqi government pays utmost attention to al-Sadr City development project, and it is determined to use modern and advanced designs.
He stressed, the necessity of choosing exemplary designs to contribute transforming the city into a better reality in terms of population and construction, taking into consideration utilizing modern technology in accordance with international standards.
Al-Ghazi pointed out that the project will include the establishment of integrated infrastructure, health, and educational facilities, with a network of roads and bridges linking the new city with the surrounding areas, as this project will contribute to employ thousands of local talents.
