Al-Azhar Al-Sharif offered condolences on Tuesday, to the Iraqi people for the victims of the fire at the ward of COVID-19 at Al-Hussein Hospital in Dhi Qar province.
Al-Azhar said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "With hearts satisfied with God's destiny, the imam, scholars, professors and students of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif; extend sincere condolences, to brotherly Iraq; leadership, government and people, for the victims of the fire of COVID-19 ward Imam Hussein Hospital in Dhi Qar province.
Al-Azhar statement also added: "We share the condolences of the Iraqi people in this great affliction, and we pray to God to preserve Iraq, to spare its people all harm and misfortune, and to make this affliction the last of the tragedies that Iraqi people are exposed to.
Al-Azhar extended its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, calling on the Almighty to grant the victims his mercy and forgiveness, to grant their families patience and solace, and to grant the injured a speedy recovery.
