The Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi praised on Sunday Iraq’s efforts in consolidating security and stability and combating terrorism and extremism, while stressing the importance of working to enhance tripartite Iraqi-Egyptian-Jordanian cooperation.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that President Sisi praised, during his official reception by President Barham Salih at Baghdad International Airport, Iraq's efforts in establishing security and stability, combating terrorism and extremism, and facing the various challenges facing the country.
Al-Sisi stressed Egypt's supportive stance for Iraq, and the importance of working to develop relations between both countries.
Al-Sisi arrived today in the capital, Baghdad, to participate in the tripartite summit that will be held in the capital with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and King Abdullah II of Jordan.
