Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee welcomed the holding of Iraq, Egypt and Jordan summit in Baghdad, stressing that the unification of Arab positions is important and required.
"Iraq's return to its Arab incubator and taking its leading position is important from all political, economic and social aspects, and it is its right,” said the member of the committee, Amer Al-Fayez, to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Fayez added that the full unification of Arab positions and cohesion of Arab countries are required, “as Iraq needs to develop relations with Arab countries, whatever the cost,"
Baghdad, was set to host, on Sunday, a summit between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan, to be held by Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, Jordanian King Abdullah II, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, after it was previously postponed due to emergency circumstances.
