PM’s advisor: Government measures towards three important files

    Advisor to Prime Minister Hussein Allawi, revealed today, Friday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi actions towards three important files, while referring to government support for the development of the Iraqi economy. 

    Allawi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The challenges facing national security are drugs, crime and terrorism, as well as security and stability in the liberated areas and the immunization of the election process, which Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi is keen on and is constantly following."

    He added, "The decisions issued by the Council of Ministers, as well as the measures taken by the Iraqi government in cooperation with the Electoral Commission, as well as the Higher Committee for Electoral Security and the Joint Operations Command and in cooperation with the security, intelligence, military and civil agencies, this provides great support to the Commission to hold the elections on schedule."

    He pointed out that "the biggest challenge facing the government is unemployment and drug addiction among young people, as well as external challenges that are the conflicts and waves of terrorism taking place in the region."

    He explained that "there is another challenge, which is development, and everyone is following it, to reach new milestones in the Iraqi economy, and to provide job and housing opportunities for Iraqi youth, and this is what the Council of Ministers discussed in a large way," stressing that "the initiatives that appear from the government and the Central Bank are supportive in this direction.".

    He pointed out that "confronting the consequences of Corona in terms of health security is a challenge to Iraqi security, which needs very large measures."

    He stated that "the work of the Ministry of Health and the follow-up to the Prime Minister, as well as the committees in Parliament, which follow and monitor the work of the government and the internal control over the distribution of vaccines, and encouraging the citizen to take them is part of the health security measures."
