The Strategic Planning and follow-up of the government program committee affirmed on Monday, completing the discussions on the Civil Service Law, which was submitted to the Presidency for inclusion in the agenda.
Committee member Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani stated to Iraqi News Agency (INA): There is a huge number of employees of lower grades, the unemployed, beneficiaries of social welfare system, retirees and those with minimal salaries, are affected by the significant rise in prices.
al-Sudani stressed the importance of making real reforms, and part of it is related to the salary scale system, and the standardization of salaries for state employees, adding there are discrepancies and disagreements regarding the civil service law, but according to current difficult circumstance, all of these disagreements shall be resolved.
There are important laws and have direct contact with the citizens, require speed up legislation to meet the dire need of the Iraqis, al-Sudani added.
