Ministry of Planning announced on Monday the approval of 70 projects in various sectors in Dhi Qar province.
Ministry spokesman Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi said in a statement received by Iraqi News Agency (INA), that the Minister of Planning, Khaled Battal Al-Najm, delegated some of his powers regarding the preparing of increased costs files of the project to the technical agent of the ministry and director general of the Sectors Planning Department in order to speed up the completion of projects in Dhi Qar province.
Al-Hindawi added that the minster stressed on giving the province exceptional attention, in appreciation of its special circumstances, and to implement the directives of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, in this regard, pointing out that the ministry often has to receive project priorities via e-mail, with the aim of speeding up the completion of requirements, and among those projects is Al-Dawaya Water Project.
He also affirmed that the ministry exerting continues efforts to complete all the other projects in the provinces which was delayed due to the need to complete some necessary procedures.
