Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar confirmed on Saturday that the value of importing oil derivatives has been reduced by two billion US dollars.
Abdul-Jabbar said in a statement to the Iraqi News Channel, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): The reduction in the value of importing oil derivatives will be two billion US dollars, adding that the ministry has completed three projects in the Central Refineries Company - Al-Dora Refinery.
These projects are the opening of a new isomerization unit that produces more quantities of improved high-octane gasoline, the opening of a hydrogen plant that contributes to the production of light derivatives such as improved gasoline, as well as the completion of a set of tanks for light derivatives, he added.
Abdul-Jabbar also explained that the new projects completed by the staff of the Central Refineries Company will reduce the import value by 90% by the end of 2022, in addition to providing job opportunities for youth.
