The Civil Aviation Authority issued today, Thursday a clarification regarding granting the license to Kirkuk Airport, indicating that the airport is ready to receive all flights.
A statement by the Aviation Authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that it "would like to clarify to the public opinion regarding the procedures for granting a license to Kirkuk International Airport by it," noting that "the airport met all international standards and requirements stipulated in the legislation for licensing airports in The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority, which is compliant with the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization (lCAO) .”
He added that "there are technical issues related to granting or granting a license to this airport by it, which must be completed for this purpose," stressing that "the designs and maps of the airport are currently in the custody of the University of Technology for the purpose of approval."
According to the statement, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that "all those international standards and requirements are completed at Kirkuk International Airport, and in light of this, the authority grants the license to the airport, which is ready to receive all flights."
