Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received today, Tuesday, a copy of the credentials of the new ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Liban Sheikh Mahmoud.
During the handover ceremony, Hussein expressed, according to a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "his wishes for the ambassador for success in his diplomatic duties in Baghdad."
And he indicated "the readiness of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to provide all support for the success of the mission of the diplomatic mission," noting "the necessity of work and cooperation in the service of the two brotherly countries."
For his part, Somali Ambassador Liban Sheikh Mahmoud affirmed his country's keenness to strengthen bilateral relations with Baghdad in a way that achieves common interests and benefits the region, expressing his appreciation for Iraq's support for the Somali mission working in Baghdad.
