Ministry of Health reassured Iraqis about the infection of the black fungus, which indicated in reports that it was transmitted to people infected with the Corona virus.
The Director of the Public Health Department, Abdul Amir Al-Halfi, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the black fungus is a very rare disease that affects the immunocompromised and has nothing to do with the Corona virus," noting that it "comes due to pollution in rural areas and soil.
He added that the reason for the emergence of cases in India came as a result of a lack of hygiene, noting that Iraq has not recorded any case so far through arrivals from India
