Iraq's representative at the United Nations, Abdul Karim Hashim, called for an end to the policy of impunity, stressing that the solution is to end the occupation and grant the Palestinian people the right to self-determination.

A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that “the permanent representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations office and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Abdul Karim Hashim delivered the speech of Iraq at the meeting of the (30) special session of the Human Rights Council regarding the dangerous situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories. occupied territories, including East Jerusalem.

The Permanent Representative affirmed that the Palestinian issue is the main engine of the global human conscience, welcoming the ceasefire agreement and the efforts made to achieve it, especially the efforts of the Arab Republic of Egypt and other countries.
