Official spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Badr, called on the sports fans to rush to receive the vaccine, in an effort to ease the preventive measures and the return of the audience to the stadiums again.
"The number of vaccine recipients in Iraq is less than half a million people, and those who received the two doses are eighty thousand, and this number is very far from the percentage determined by global health experts and epidemiologists,” said Al-Badr in a statement to Iraqi News Agency – INA.
He explained that "the globally identified percentage ranges between 80% and 85% of the vaccine recipient as two doses in the community, after which it is possible to reduce the precautionary measures and the audience could return to the stadiums," pointing out that "this decision is subject to the Supreme Health and Safety Committee exclusively and according to epidemiological developments,"
