The Ministry of Construction and Housing announced today, Monday, that the Building Research Department obtained a patent entitled the use of composite materials technology in the manufacture of high-performance tiles, indicating that the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control has approved it.
The media center of the ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "this achievement was achieved by the efforts of a group of researchers in the department, given the need to find alternatives to traditional construction materials, indicating that" the research aims to prepare models of composite construction materials with high performance.
High mechanical and good physical properties using low-cost materials, which are a mixture of dune sand and regular sand in equal proportions, and it is the least expensive mixture compared to using marble fractures that require crushing and grinding.
