The Patriarch of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world, Cardinal Louis Raphael Sacco, called today, Thursday, for the advent of Eid al-Fitr to constitute a transformation and a crossing over to solidarity.
Sako said in his congratulations received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "I am pleased to address the Muslim sisters and brothers with my sincere congratulations, blessings and wishes, on the blessed Eid al-Fitr, which they celebrate, in the midst of harsh living conditions, health, economic, social and political."
He added, "Eid al-Fitr, after a month of fasting, prayer, repentance to God and the work of charity, should constitute a shift - a crossing to solidarity and building strong relations, launching dialogue and reconciliation initiatives, stopping the shooting, and closing ranks for the sake of the revival of our country, the dignity of our citizens, and the improvement of their living conditions ,security and their stability. "
