    Baghdad - INA

The Ministry of Transport revealed its procedures for setting a new pricing for land and air transit, while indicating that there are efforts to set up a trade exchange point with neighboring countries to achieve customs imports.

The spokesman for the ministry, Hussein al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "work is continuing on setting the new tariff for transit for land and air transport by the joint committee."

Al-Khafaji added, "Iraq is seeking to set up a trade exchange point with neighboring countries in order to achieve customs imports for the state," pointing out that "the customs account for the tanker coming from abroad and loaded with a lot of materials and goods is done on the tanker as a whole and not the goods. Here it must be calculated on every article to maximize financial revenues. "
Khafaji emphasized that "the Minister of Transport directed the directors of the two land transport companies and Iraqi Airways to quickly complete the project because of its economic and financial importance for Iraq."
