The Ministry of Planning revealed, today, Sunday, the most prominent projects that are expected to be completed in the capital Baghdad and the rest of the provinces during the current year 2021.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning, Maher Mohan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "many areas of the capital Baghdad Sabaa al-Bour, Al-Wehda, and Al-Nahrawan were included in the 2021 budget projects, including the basic sewage completion project, which will serve large numbers of up to millions of citizens.
He added, "There are many projects for the Ministry of Electricity related to electricity production stations called (simple cycles and combined cycles), which will provide thousands of megawatts of electricity and serve the entire national network, in addition to the airports of Nasiriyah and Mosul, and many hospitals, including the completion of the existing ones, and four new hospitals, two Among them are within the Kuwaiti Execution Fund loan that will be entered into with an agreement this year, two of which have a capacity of 200 beds in Rumaitha and Muthanna, and a third with a capacity of 600 beds in Mosul, in addition to projects at the provincial level in Dhi Qar and Diwaniyah.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning continued, "There are other projects, such as building a thousand schools, which were also included in the budget, which is a basic strategic project that includes all of Iraq," expressing his "hope that this year the project will enter into actual implementation by sober companies."
He talked about the Japanese loan projects and said, "They include the large hydrogenation and refining units in Basra, which is a large project that will provide filtering capabilities and greatly improve the treatment of the refineries."
