Minister of Oil, Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail, stressed the importance of speeding up the completion of the Karbala oil refinery project, despite the health conditions and challenges facing Iraq and the countries of the world.
A ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said today, Sunday, that "the oil minister, during his visit to the Karbala oil refinery, confirmed that the refinery represents a supreme value and an important addition to the refining sector in Iraq in terms of quality and quality because it will contribute to covering more than ninety percent of the need." "Local oil derivatives after completion and operation of a number of other projects in the refining sector that the ministry is implementing in this framework in addition to this project."
The Minister of Oil indicated that he "instructed the refinery's management to expedite the completion of the technical measures required to supply the province's electric power system with a generative capacity of 200 megawatts this summer.
Ismail revealed the completion of the production units of the refinery, which includes (35) operational and service units, including four gasoline production units, and includes a thermal cracking unit with auxiliary factor (FCC) and a poly-naphtha unit with octane number (95) and (90) in addition to the implementation of the construction of (44) tanks.
