Ministry of Agriculture revealed, today, Thursday, the expansion of the process of exporting dates abroad, while importing countries have been identified.
The Director General of the Department of Horticulture and Forestry in the ministry, Hatem Karim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the past year 2020 witnessed the highest rate of export of Iraqi dates abroad, as it reached about 600 thousand tons."
Karim added that "indicators point to a steady increase in Iraq's export of dates during the current year, due to the provision of the necessary facilities for Iraqi farmers and exporters."
Karim added that "the countries importing Iraqi dates are India, Pakistan, Malaysia and a number of Asian countries' markets in addition to Russia, China and some European and American markets."
