The Turkish Foreign Ministry offered its condolences to Iraq over the fire incident at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in Baghdad.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We have received with great sadness and sorrow the news of the death of at least 80 patients and their relatives after the explosion and the subsequent outbreak of the fire in Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq."
"We extend our condolences to the brotherly Iraqi people and the brotherly Iraqi government, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured."
Today, Sunday, the Prime Minister decided, during the extraordinary cabinet session, to withdraw the hand of the Minister of Health, the Governor of Baghdad, and the Director of Rusafa Health, and referred them to investigation in connection with the incident at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital in Baghdad.
