The High Electoral Commission set, today, Tuesday, the date for the start of the electoral campaigns for the candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections, while indicating the issuance of a new decision in this regard.
Commission spokesman Jumana Al-Ghalai told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Tuesday: "The Board of Commissioners issued the election campaign system, and is awaiting its decision regarding the organization mechanism."
She added that "there is high coordination with the Baghdad Municipality and the Ministry of Municipalities not to harm the state institutions or any government agency during the launch of the electoral campaigns."
And she pointed out that "the launch of the electoral campaigns will be after the approval of the candidates according to the election law, unlike the previous elections, which used to launch campaigns a month before the date of the elections."
