The House of Representatives received a call from its Armenian counterpart to strengthen parliamentary cooperation, while the First Deputy Speaker, Hassan al-Kaabi, called for activating the work of the Iraqi-Armenian Friendship and Cooperation Committee in all fields.
Al-Kaabi’s office said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi, received in his office today, Sunday, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, Hrathia Buladian, to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries, and to discuss a number of files of mutual interest."
During the meeting, Al-Kaabi called for "activating the work of the Iraqi-Armenian Friendship Committee, exchanging experiences between the two legislative institutions, and strengthening cooperation between Iraq and Armenia in all fields," stressing "Iraq's keenness to establish balanced relations with all countries of the region and the world in a way that benefits the present and future of the country." ".
