Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi affirmed the government's keenness and seriousness to secure the return of all IDPs to their areas, including members of Yazidi community.
"On the occasion of the Yazidi New Year, I give my sincere congratulations and names to our Yazidi brothers, wishing them and all Iraqis security and safety, as well as to live in peace and love in the shadow of Iraq tent that embraces its children of all sects,” said Al-Kadhimi in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "On this happy occasion, we affirm the government's keenness and seriousness to secure the return of all IDPs, including members of the Yazidi community, to their areas after the expulsion of Daesh terrorist gangs and the return of stability there, as to support the survivors and Yazidi survivors by achieving their demands,”
Al-Kadhimi explained that the government also affirmed that “it will continue its efforts to return the kidnapped women and children and that it will spare no effort to achieve this in one prosperous Iraq,”
