Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi discussed today, Sunday, with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the bilateral relations between the two countries.
His media office stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Al-Kadhimi met with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as part of his current visit."
He pointed out that "the meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, strengthening means of joint cooperation in many sectors, as well as discussing the overall situation in the region, and Iraq’s return to play its important pivotal role in pacification and stability."
He added, "Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, welcomed the Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation, and praised the reform steps of the Iraqi government aimed at developing the economy and improving the investment environment, as well as praising the role of Iraq in enhancing security and stability in the region, and his approach to a policy of appeasement and dialogue."
