The Popular Mobilization Authority denied today, Thursday the existence of any military movement of its forces inside the capital, Baghdad.
A statement by the commission received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated: "We categorically deny the existence of any military action by the Popular Mobilization Forces in the capital, Baghdad, as reported in some media."
The commission confirmed, according to its statement, that the mobilization forces' movements come within the orders of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and in coordination with the Joint Operations Command.
They also pointed out that "the Hashd (PMF) brigades are called by numbers, not by other names, just as its directorates carry the known official designations and that’s we deny the existence of any military action for their units in Baghdad.
