Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of a number of saboteurs of energy towers.
Al- Kadhimi said during his speech in the Council of Ministers, according to a statement received by the news agency (INA): “On the memory of Halabja, let us work to transform the opportunities of pain in the life of the Iraqi people into an opportunity for hope,” indicating that “the tragedies of the popular uprising, the marshes and Anbar must be an incentive for us to start to serve our people. "
He added, "The country faces great challenges and it is very important that ministers continue to visit the governorates with the same impulsivity and spirituality, and the ministers must serve the people of all governorates, especially the affected ones, and that all ministries must support the Ministry of Electricity to provide electricity to citizens with the approaching summer season and bypass the bureaucratic procedures and efforts that hindered many important projects. "
He continued, "There were sabotage attempts to blow up the transmission towers, and we were able to arrest a number of them, and this matter will not be tolerated as it affects the Iraqi national security."
