The Ministry of Immigration and Displacement announced that Minister Evan Faiq Jabro discussed with National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji to complete the closure of the remaining displacement camps, while Gabbro confirmed the preparation of a plan to voluntarily return families to their original areas.
The media office of the ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Minister of Immigration and Displacement, Ivan Faiq Jabro, received today, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji, the Deputy Head of the National Security Service, Hamid Al-Shatri, and the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir. Al-Shammari and the United Nations Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in Iraq, Arina Voyashkova, "noting that" the meeting discussed completing the closure of the remaining displacement camps as well as coordination and cooperation with the relevant authorities regarding the continuation of security checks for families who wish to return to their original residential areas in the liberated areas.
