The Chief of Staff of the US Ground Forces, General James McConnville, announced the Pentagon's intention to deploy new groups of its forces in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
He said in a press conference that two groups will be deployed in the Pacific region and one in Europe, noting that the groups are still in the formation and preparation stage.
He stressed that those forces will be equipped with high-precision and long-range weapons, including hypersonic, medium-range and anti-ship missiles.
It will also provide the forces with reconnaissance, electronic jamming and equipment for operations in the cyber field, space means and missile defense systems.
The Pentagon had previously indicated that the number of tactical groups deployed in various regions will depend on the tasks that will be assigned to them.
