The fourth meeting of the Joint Economic Committee between Iraq and Iran kicked off in Tehran.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said, "The Minister of Trade, Alaa Al-Jubouri, headed the Iraqi delegation, while the Iranian delegation was headed by the Iranian Minister of Energy, Ridah Ardakanian," noting that "the meeting will deal with energy, electricity, expansion of transportation lines and customs."
Trade Minister Alaa Al-Jubouri stressed that "the committee's agreements include different sectors, and there is a need to define priorities in work to produce a desired result."
Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardakanian pointed out that "Iran is its own interest, and the interests of the region are linked to the exit of foreigners, the strengthening of peoples and cooperation between the governments of the region. Therefore, we are ready to present what we have to Iraq."
