The Ministry of Planning announced that there are more than 6 thousand projects under implementation, confirming that the budget for next year 2021 does not include any new projects, but will focus on the implementation of ongoing projects, while indicating that 400 billion dinars have been allocated for the completion of the large port of Faw in the budget 2021.
The ministry's spokesman, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The ministry has more than 6 thousand projects under implementation in all governorates of the country, as the completion rates of these projects range from advanced to medium ratios, and some of them were referred but did not start".
He added, "The 2021 budget did not include the inclusion of any new projects, as the search will only be for developing solutions and treatments for existing projects under implementation, with the aim of continuing work on them, and the achievement of which have advanced completion rates."
