Minister of Labor and Social Affairs – MOLSA, Chairman of the Child Welfare Commission, Adil Al-Rikabi, stressed the need to remove Iraq from the list of countries violating child rights by adopting the action plan of the United Nations office to end this file.
"Iraq is committed to United Nations reports on the non-involvement of children in armed conflicts since 2016, and this is documented by an official response from the Iraqi government via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," Al-Rikabi pointed out during a meeting of the Supreme National Committee for Monitoring and Reporting, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Al-Rikabi stressed the importance of communication with security institutions to develop a new vision, and then demand that Iraq to be removed from the list of countries violating child rights based on the proposed plan.
