The Parliamentary Economic Committee announced today, Sunday, the presentation of a vision to Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kahdimi, to improve the economy and develop the investment sector, stressing the need to implement the white paper during the budgets of the coming years.
A member of the committee, Atwan Al-Atwani, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), today, Sunday, that "the committee presented a vision to Prime Minister Mustafa Al- Kahdimi, in a meeting with regard to improving the economy, as well as developing the investment sector."
He added that "the decision to declare investment projects as investment opportunities needs practical implementation and practical steps taken with regard to announcing them and defining the lands for these projects."
He pointed out that "the white paper is a vision for the future of the economy for years to come, and therefore a part of the plan must be taken in every budget during the coming years to implement it, and it is possible that during the passage of time there will be a clear impact."
He pointed out, "the importance of leaving dependence on oil, as it is a key element in financing the budget, pointing to the dependence of 60 or 70 percent on oil, which indicates that there are real steps away from adopting oil as a primary source."
