The Joint Operations Command announced Today, Tuesday the implementation of a large-scale security operation in the Anbar desert to pursue terrorist remnants of ISIS.
The Joint Operations Command stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Under the direction of the Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, and under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command, a joint force of the Al-Jazeera and Anbar Operations Command, the Popular Mobilization forces in Anbar, and the Tribal Mobilization Forces, And with the support of the army and air force aviation, and the international coalition aviation, a large security operation in the Anbar desert was carried out to secure the borders between the two leaderships, with the aim of enhancing security and stability in these areas and pursuing members of the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs.
